In 2023 Bindu was selected for the Screenskills (High End TV) Mentoring Scheme with Dancing Ledge Productions (mentored by Writer/Showrunner Emilia Di Girolamo). Through the scheme she has developed & written a Pilot Episode for a Television Drama, based on a subject, which is very close to Bindu’s heart.
Bindu is currently developing an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s THE TEMPEST, tv series, with her production company Bright Films.
She is also writing and developing a Young Adult TV series entitled MY NAME IS GIRL, based on Nina Cosford’s fabulous illustrated book (which Bindu has optioned), throwing an ironic, perceptive glance at the ups and downs of growing up in a female body… with a girl’s mind.
On a darker note… Bindu has written a Pilot (TV series) – a gritty female-led crime drama, with a supernatural twist – called THE PRESENCE, which she is hoping will take flight shortly…
In 2018, Bindu optioned the best selling Italian novel by Silvia Zucca, entitled AN ASTROLOGICAL GUIDE FOR BROKEN HEARTS, which she has turned into (two seasons) of a NETFLIX series, produced by IIF – Italian International Film (Rome). Season 1 was in the Top Ten Netflix Chart in 26 countries. Season 2 was released to great ‘binge-watching’ acclaim on the 8th March 2022.
Bindu has written a selection of Spec Scripts (for both film and Television) and is developing various project for the big and small screen. Get in touch!
